Sautéed Brussels Sprouts
We all know brussels sprouts have come a long way, but they DO NOT need to be fried to be delicious! Here they’re sautéed in olive oil, and they crisp up to tasty perfection along with some other gut-supporting aromatics. Brussels are a great addition to your diet. They’re high in fiber, reduce inflammation, and are full of vitamins and minerals.
INGREDIENTS
Avocado oil
4 cups shaved brussels sprouts
2 tbsp garlic
1 shallot
¼ cup sliced turkey pepperoni
Salt & Red pepper flakes to taste
DIRECTIONS
Start by warming avocado oil in a saucepan. Add garlic, then shallot, and cook until soft and fragrant. Add pepperoni (or prosciutto) and further sauté. Finally, add brussels sprouts, a little more avocado oil, and season to taste. Continue to cook until sprouts are just crisped.
