Pasta bolognese
Raise your hand if you love pasta! This pasta bolognese is inspired by the Rocco Dispirito recipe from his book, ‘Now Eat This.’
INGREDIENTS
Pasta of choice (I used gluten-free nonoPASTA, available on Amazon)
Olive oil
4 large cloves garlic, chopped fine
1 onion, chopped fine
8 oz 90/10 lean ground beef
2 cups no sugar added chopped tomatoes
Salt, pepper & crushed red pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
Bring a large of pot water to a boil. Salt generously. Add pasta and cook until al dente.
Coat a skillet with olive oil and spread garlic and onion in the pan. Place over medium heat and cook until both are soft. Add beef to the skillet and cook on medium high.
Add chopped tomatoes and stir until heated through. Break up any chunks of beef. Drain pasta, reserving some of the cooking water. Add pasta and a tablespoon of the cooking water at a time to the skillet and season to taste.
