Matcha Chia Overnight Oats
Here’s breakfast for 3 days in under 10 minutes. I’m not an everyday oats eater, but I do like to have them on hand for mornings when I want a quick something before or after a workout.
Matcha is great because it provides a large dose of antioxidants and a variety of other health benefits. It does have caffeine, but it’s loved because, unlike coffee, it doesn’t spike adrenaline/ insulin. The energy it gives you ramps up and comes back down more gently.
Chia seeds are always a good idea, so I’ve worked them into this recipe for added protein and fiber.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup rolled oats
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
2 tbsp shredded coconut
2 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 tsp pink Himalayan salt
3 tbsp Clevr Blends Matcha
1 tbsp organic maple syrup
Dash of vanilla extract
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
DIRECTIONS
Mix all well, and portion into meal prep jars. Refrigerate and eat cold or drizzle with a little more milk and microwave for 30 seconds to enjoy warm.
